Helping churches on the Isle of Wight to share Jesus

Who we are

Island Gospel Collective has its roots in a long established partnership between two local Island churches, Grace Church and St James Church in Ryde.  We belong to different national church networks, but share the same theological convictions, ministry principles and heart to see the gospel of Jesus Christ penetrating the communities of the Isle of Wight.

The partnership has extended with the planting of Hope Church in East Cowes in summer 2023, and we have a further two church plants in the pipeline for later in the year in Newport and Ventnor.

We’re not the only gospel churches on the Island of course, but as a collective, we share similar core values and distinctives, and want to co-operate together in the missionary task of disciple making that the risen Christ has given to his church. (Matt 28:19).

We seek to do this by sharing our resources of time, prayer, encouragement, gifts and experience across our churches, co-operating together to train gospel workers, strengthen our churches and plant new churches. Our pastors meet regularly together in order to pray, plan and mutually support one another to that end.

There are more than 140,000 people on the Isle of Wight…

But less than 2% regularly attend a bible believing church and many communities simply don’t have ready access to a gospel-centred church. Island Gospel Collective (IGC) is a partnership of churches committed to supporting each other to reach people right across the Island with the gospel.

We are…

Christ centred. Gospel focussed. Mission driven. Bible confident. Risk taking. Relational.

The Truth that Unites Us

Although our churches are different in so many ways, we are joyfully united in our commitment to the reformed evangelical faith of the scriptures.
